Researchers identified early risk factors that predicted heightened anxiety in young adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. The researchers found that participants who continued to show a childhood temperament called behavioral inhibition (BI) were more likely to experience worry dysregulation at age 15, which then predicted elevated anxiety during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic when the participants were around 18-years-old. The study, which was part of an ongoing longitudinal study of temperament and socioemotional development, was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in mid-February....

The teenager had a “good day” on Monday according to her family, who regularly provide updates on Noble’s recovery via a Facebook page called Makayla’s Fight. As of Tuesday morning, the page had more than 52,000 members. Noble was able to return home last week after several weeks of hospital care following her September 20 injury, which has left her partly paralyzed. Family friend Tiffany Smith has previously told Newsweek how the accident left Noble paralyzed from the chest down....
