Dunn, a senior, was expected to compete for carries as a starter with the departure of Ezekiel Elliott to the NFL. In three seasons, Dunn had just 287 yards in limited action, but he averaged 6.0 yards per carry.

Dunn’s departure opens the door for redshirt freshman Michael Weber, who scored two touchdowns in the Buckeyes’ 2016 spring game. Curtis Samuel, Dontre Wilson and Antonio Williams also will be in the mix for carries.
