Wide receivers coach Zach Smith sent a text message to a recruit during a dead period, which classifies as a minor NCAA violation. But Smith didn’t actually send the message, his 4-year-old son did, according to The Lantern.

As much as we love to bash the NCAA, it is highly unlikely that they will punish Ohio State specifically for this incident, but it just goes to show how ridiculous the entire process is.
The NCAA did not review the case as part of its interpretations philosophy, which allows for flexibility when reviewing rule violations.
