Oilers coach Dallas Eakins said Hall was cleared by the team medical staff and was in the lineup for Thursday night's game at Tampa Bay.

"We've got one of the best left wingers' coming back," Eakins said after the Oilers' morning skate Thursday. "The thing I like about Hallsie early was, he's always in the fight. He competes hard. He wants to be the best player on the ice."

Hall, the first overall pick in the 2010 draft, was hurt during a game Oct. 19 at Ottawa. He has three goals and five assists in nine games.

"I've been healing well and working hard on my rehab," Hall said. "It got to the point where I'm doing so well and I'm feeling good enough with my knee that I have to play."

Edmonton has struggled this season, going 4-10-2 entering Thursday's game.

FLAMES' GLENCROSS HAS INJURY

Calgary Flames left wing Curtis Glencross is expected to miss four to six weeks with a sprained knee ligament.

Glencross injured his medial collateral ligament Tuesday in a 5-1 loss at Minnesota. Calgary called up Max Reinhart from Abbotsford of the AHL to replace Glencross before Thursday night's game against the St. Louis Blues.

Glencross has five goals and four assists in 15 games. He was appointed the team's alternate captain on Sept. 20.

NEIL HIT IN FACE WITH PUCK

Chris Neil is never going to wear a visor—not with any regularity, at least.

For a little while, though, the Ottawa Senators winger may not have a choice. An errant pass from teammate Erik Karlsson hit him above the eye on Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens.

Neil was bleeding significantly as he left the ice early in the third period and forced the crew at Canadian Tire Centre did some quick scrape-work.
