That was Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba, near the end of the second period, batting a Nashville clear attempt over the boards. Laviolette briefly went down and, not surprisingly, looked a little dazed, but he stayed on the bench.
Last season, Nashville GM David Poile partially lost sight in his right eye (and was unable to travel to the Olympics) after a puck hit him in the eye at practice.
