In a French Facebook post by Valerie Meloche, she writes that her baby suffered a concussion from one of Subban’s tosses. The puck accidentally hit the baby girl in the head,  knocked her unconscious, and gave her a concussion. The baby was taken to Montreal Children’s Hospital for evaluation, and is expected to make a full recovery.

Donald Beauchamp, vice-president of the Canadiens communications, said the team visited the infant Monday.

“Members of the organization went to meet the family on Monday morning,” he said, via a translation of TV Anouvelles. “The players feel quite involved in an event like this. Whenever possible, they always try to be cautious when launching a puck into the stands.”

He added the team was “very happy” to find out the baby will be OK.
