Lacy has disappointed this year, struggling with weight gain and injuries, but coach Mike McCarthy expressed optimism regarding his third-year running back’s status this week against the Vikings.

“I thought Eddie looked good yesterday," McCarthy said via the Packers’ official website. “I thought he had one of his better practices. It looks like he’s bouncing back.”
Green Bay (6-3) is in desperate need of a bounce back as it prepares for a crucial NFC North clash against a Vikings team that has won five straight games.
“We’re fortunate that we’ve played a lot of big games, but there’s no denying this is an important game," McCarthy said. “This is a big opportunity right in front of us. Winning division games on the road is a big challenge.”
Lacy, who has just 308 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 83 carries, is expected to play but not start Sunday. James Starks will draw that assignment.
