Guion was arrested in Florida on gun and drug possession charges, which were later dismissed after a deal was reached with Guion agreeing to pay a $5,000 fine.

He returned to the Packers on a one-year contract shortly after the deal was reached, but the NFL handed down the three-game ban last month for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. Without Guion, the Packers will be without two defensive linemen in their rotation; Datone Jones will sit out the season opener against the Bears, also for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.

Guion will be eligible to return for the Packers’ Week 4 game at San Francisco.
