The 32-year-old receiver said on The HawkCast podcast, with former teammate A.J. Hawk, he doesn’t see himself playing too much longer.

That’s actually a pretty reasonable amount of time to spend in the league. Not many receivers are able to play past that age and maintain their level of success. Plus, Nelson has dealt with injuries in the past, which take a toll on his body as time moves on.

“I would say anywhere between two to four more years. I think four more – so this one and three more – would be my max. That would put me at 13 years. I’d be happy with that, obviously. At some point, I have to get my family back to Kansas.”

So unless he gets traded, which seems unlikely, then Nelson will probably end up playing his entire career in Green Bay. In the new age of free agency, that’s a pretty rare accomplishment, and it means he’ll forever be loved by the Packer faithful.
