In fact, Panthers center Ryan Kalil was so excited to see it he rented out an entire theater in Charlotte, N.C., and took the offensive line to the premiere Thursday night.

“It was awesome,” Kalil told the Charlotte Observer.

Kalil is such a fan of the franchise that he has promoted “Purrbacca” t-shirts, which shows the Star wars character Chewbacca morphed into the Panthers mascot, Sir Purr. 

All proceeds from the T-shirts go to The HEARTest Yard, a family service program that provides families of babies affected by congenital heart disease with many services, including in-home nursing care, physical therapy and speech therapy.
