Now, Tippett can add his name to the short list after his first period goal against the Anaheim Ducks.
Tippett’s goal came on the Panthers’ odd-man rush where Ducks goaltender John Gibson was left helpless. Panthers forward Jamie McGinn found the tenth overall pick streaking towards the net.
Tippett has shown at the junior level that his scoring is what makes him so unique. Last season, the 18-year-old registered 75 points last year with the Mississauga Steelheads and led the team with 44 goals.
