ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter was on WEEI’s “Kirk and Callahan” radio show Wednesday morning and said New England is looking for at least a first-round and fourth-round draft pick for Garoppolo. You might recall, that’s the same price Minnesota paid to Philadelphia for Sam Bradford.

Is Garoppolo as valuable as Bradford? He’s played sparingly in three seasons, including two starts at the beginning of 2016. He went 2-0 in those games, throwing four touchdowns with no interceptions while completing 71 percent of his passes.

There’s no denying Garoppolo is an intriguing prospect, but a first-round pick is a steep price. The third-year player has just 93 career pass attempts, a small sample size when it comes to valuable minutes.
