The Pacers posted the video to their Instagram page on Monday, showing the injured George at Bankers Life Fieldhouse practicing set shots while wearing the boot on his right leg.

George’s recovery is sure to be a story all season long as the Pacers are unlikely to defend last season’s No. 1 finish in the Eastern Conference without him. Indiana already lost Lance Stephenson to the Charlotte Hornets in free agency over the summer, and without George the wing rotation for the Pacers is decidedly thin.
Although he hopes to return this season, George is likely to miss 12-18 months with a compound fracture. Getting out onto the court has to be good for his recovery, his self-esteem and for hopeful Pacers fans, who endured last season’s late regular season meltdown and an Eastern Conference Finals loss to the Miami Heat.
