While the Blackhawks (8-6-1), who are fourth in the Central Division, remain alone atop the odds board at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook at 6-to-1 odds, eight other teams are priced at 15-to-1 or less.
The Bruins (10-6-0), who opened as the second betting choice, are back to their opening number at 7-to-1. Meanwhile, the Penguins (10-2-1) saw their odds shorten to 7-to-1 after opening and sitting at 8-to-1 through the season’s first few weeks. The Ducks (10-3-3) saw their 10-to-1 odds shrink to 8-to-1, while the reigning Stanley Cup champion Kings (8-4-3) remain unchanged at 8-to-1. The Kings have dropped out of the three-way tie for second and are now tied for third with Anaheim.
Further down the odds board, the Predators (9-3-1), who are first in the Central, are making their way towards the top after seeing their price significantly shorten from 75-to-1 to 25-to-1. The Lightning also saw their odds shrink from 14-to-1 to 12-to-1.
Several teams have seen their odds move in the opposite direction. The Blue Jackets (4-9-1), hampered by injuries, saw their opening 30-to-1 odds double to 60-to-1. The mediocre Islanders (9-5-0) saw the same adjustments for their odds. The Avalanche (4-7-5) saw their price nearly triple from 25-to-1 to 60-to-1.
