Dupuis, 36, was diagnosed with blood clots last year, forcing him to miss the rest of the season.

“We’ve said all along that Pascal’s health is the highest priority,” general manager Jim Rutherford said in a statement. “We will take every precaution necessary to ensure he is in good health.”
The Penguins were in Edmonton to play the Oilers on Friday night. Pittsburgh won the game, 2-1.
Dupuis has one goal, no assists and a plus-2 rating in six games this season.
